This article is simply an overview roughly comparing the capex costs of renewable energy between China and Western countries (usually the US). Naturally, most things are cheaper in China – often half price – so what’s really interesting here is that some project types in the West cost four times as much, when perhaps they should only be double. We are considering only upfront investment costs here, which are in any case the most important costs.
