The unlicensed low-power wide-area network (U-LPWAN) market has been a bit of a disappointment, to put it mildly. Covid derailed it, but the sector was already wobbling. However, from those ashes, a few survivors have emerged, and Dryad Networks is likely the worthiest – using LoRaWAN to detect forest fires.
