Germany’s Deutsche Telekom is warning the European operator community that it faces threats from international rivals in the bid to control the smart home. Conveniently, DT already has a solution that could provide some European unity and aims to license its Qivicon white label platform to operators which want to provide smart home as a service (SHaaS), and in so doing, create a distinct European smart home market.
