To date, the public cloud operators have been largely kept at arm’s length by telcos, citing their particularly demanding performance and service level requirements. But that is changing, as the cloud platforms invest heavily in proving their capabilities for the most demanding scenarios, and as the telcos look for improved economics in their quest to become digital companies.
