Ericsson has posted its Q1 results, as Swedish news outlet EFN reports that its CEO is set to be ousted. Reportedly, the Wallenberg family, an influential Swedish clan that jointly controls Ericsson via the Investor AB holding company, has lost faith in CEO Börje Ekholm’s performance. In Q1 2025, Ericsson reported a 3% year-on-year increase in revenue, to $5.65 billion (SEK 55 billion), from in Q1 2024. However, compared to Q4 2024, revenue fell by 25%. Gross margin has improved from 42.5% in Q1 2024 to 44.9% in Q4 2024, and now sits at 48.2% in Q1 2025.
