The European Commission (EC) has preliminarily ruled that Apple and Google are potentially in breach of its Digital Markets Act (DMA), setting the stage for a major showdown. However, with transatlantic tensions at a high, the EC risks stepping on a landmine – hence the lack of even a press conference.
