It’s been a busy week for followers of smart city news, with Frost and Sullivan’s report (see separate article), the grand opening of Fujisawa’s Sustainable Smart Town in Japan (separate article), and now Eutech choosing Orange for its smart-city-as-a-service platform. Eutech Cybernetic, to give the enterprise software company its full name, designs and implements software-based solutions and touts itself as “an industry pioneer in the development of next generation technologies for the Internet of Everything (IoE).” Given that IoE is a term almost exclusively used by Cisco, it would not surprise us to find the networking monolith lurking somewhere in the side-lines of this deal.
