Nokia’s 2025 Industrial Digitalization Report has been released, and while a surface-level skim will not trip the reader up, attempting to dig deeper is a frustrating endeavor. Put simply, too many of the terms have insufficient explanations. The headline figures in the report are that 87% of companies that adopted a private wireless network saw a return on their investments within a year, with 81% of companies reporting lower setup costs and 86% seeing reduced operating costs. Some 94% apparently reduced carbon emissions, with 89% seeing energy savings, and Nokia sees a future sales pipeline, with 70% of new private wireless networks supporting AI-driven apps.
