The House of Representatives has voted to undo President Biden’s 24-month tariff moratorium, but the bill is expected to be vetoed, not signed, by the President. This will be his third veto so far, with the first coming in March and second in April. If passed, the reinstated tariffs would mostly shut the US solar industry down for several years, with up to 250% tariffs on cells and modules from the four South-East Asian countries investigated by the Department of Commerce, until domestic (and Indian) manufacturing came online.
