With WiFi 6 borrowing 5G-centric techniques such as Multiuser-MIMO and OFDMA, mobile giant Huawei has been taking an increased interest in WiFi, and last week it launched its enterprise-grade range of WiFi 6 access points (Aps) in its AirEngine portfolio. Huawei’s AirEngine claims to employ multiple cutting edge technologies that are used to overcome issues inherent in WiFi like ensuring uninterrupted bandwidth at scale. Product testing firm Tolly has evaluated performance, capacity and interoperability of the AirEngine APs, and they verified that the AirEngine 5760-10 AP supported 512 clients with multimedia applications on a single AP with 256 WiFi clients on each radio (2.4GHz and 5GHz).
