The International Energy Agency has released a new report, The Role of Critical Minerals in Clean Energy Transitions, concerning the challenge that the renewable energy industry will face securing the supply of ever more raw minerals for manufacturing. The central thrust of the report is that demand for critical minerals from the energy sector will increase by a factor of six by 2040.
