Intel and ARM are engaged in an unusual burst of collaboration, announcing a partnership to reduce the complexity of the onboarding process for IoT devices , while allowing customers to move between different onboarding architectures and cloud provisioning systems. The cooperation focuses on extending Intel’s Secure Device Onboard service to support devices powered by ARM cores; while enabling ARM’s Pelion IoT Platform to onboard and manage x86 devices and gateways.
