5G spectrum auctions are mounting up in western Europe, with Italy and Germany joining the pipeline. Most are focused for now on the 3.5 GHz band, which looks set to be the most internationally deployed of the first wave of mobile bands specifically targeted at 5G. However, some regulators, like Italy’s, are starting to add other, lower bands to the mix as well.
