Beleaguered company Jolla has announced that it has secured $12m in funding to continue its operations for another year. The Series C round comes after the company was forced to restructure its debt, but the Finnish firm has confirmed that Turing Robotics Industries has selected its Sailfish operating system for use in its security-focused Turing Phone. Turing CEO Steve Chao told ZDNet that the OS was running extremely fast on the smartphone, and that he was looking to use it as the foundations for building out a Turing ecosystem.
