A group calling itself the Zero Carbon Humber (ZCH) Partnership has applied this week for UK government funding for £75 million to create what it calls the UK’s first net zero industrial cluster. Because the ZCH Partnership includes Norwegian oil company Equinor, Associated British Ports, British Steel, Centrica Storage, the Drax Group, Mitsubishi, National Grid Ventures, px Group, SSE Thermal, Saltend Cogeneration Company Limited, German polluter Uniper, and the University of Sheffield’s Advanced Manufacturing Centre, we were immediately suspicious of Greenwashing and the group’s intentions.
