After trialing several pilot projects, the city of Los Angeles has chosen Philips’ CityTouch platform for its LED street lighting projects. The new lighting infrastructure and services will also support a new economic initiative from the city, the Great Streets project, and as is increasingly common in lighting projects, could form the basis for a comprehensive smart city deployment in the coming years.
