In a move that we could see coming a mile off, Microsoft has officially announced Windows 10 for IoT. It also announced the Azure IoT suite, a series of applications that will target the typical IoT use cases – including analytics, remote management, monitoring and predictive maintenance. Essentially an updated version of Windows Embedded, the new flavor of Windows will most likely run the new OneCore common architecture that aims to make the different of Windows much more uniform under the hood.
