Two years after it published one of the first detailed white papers setting out a vision for 6G, the operator-driven NGMN Alliance has published a follow-up report called ‘6G Requirements and Design Considerations’. As it did more than a decade earlier for 5G, the Alliance identifies a list of services and use cases that could be enabled by 6G (some of which are very similar to those envisaged for 5G, whose real-world ambitions have become somewhat diluted by commercial reality).
