Perovskite begins multi-GW commercialization in 2026

Rethink Energy’s forecast of perovskites predicts that 2026 will be the big year of commercialization for dozens of perovskite companies, with several gigawatts produced, sold, and subsequently installed. First will come the companies which already exist today, mostly startups – and by that point in 2026 we will also have seen every mainstream silicon manufacturer commit to making perovskite products.
