Renewable orders this week

Vestas will supply 22 V136-3.45 MW turbines to an undisclosed project and customer in China, along with a 5-year O&M agreement, with delivery to begin in Q3 2020.

juwi has signed a deal with the TriState Generation and Transmission Association to develop four solar projects in Colorado; 145MW Axial Basin, the 120MW Coyote Gulch, the 110MW Delores Canyon, and the 40MW Spanish Peaks II. Tri-State will offtake the power once the projects are commissioned by 2023.

Capital Dynamics has purchased the Eland Solar & Storage Project in California. 8minute remains the developer of the 400 MW solar, 300 MW / 1200 MWh energy storage project, which will be commissioned in 2023.

The ADB has loaned $37.8 million to TTC Energy for the development of a 50 MW solar plant fifty kilometres north of the Vietnamese capital, Ho Chi Minh City.

Construction has begun at Innogy’s Triton Knoll project, an offshore wind farm off the English coast using Vestas turbines.

OX2 has completed the 30.1 MW Ponsivuori Wind Farm in Finland and transferred ownership to Ikea.

Vestas will supply the turbines for Eurowind Energy’s 60 MW Janikowo Wind Farm in Kujawsko-Pomorskie province, Poland. Commissioning is expected for the last quarter of 2021.

sPower has put the proposed 200 MW Seneca Wind Farm in Ohio on hold indefinitely.

RWE Renewables has commissioned the 57 MW Morcone Wind Farm in Italy, which uses Vestas turbines.

WEC Energy Group will acquire 80% ownership in Invenergy’s 250MW Blooming Grove Wind Farm, to be commissioned with GE Renewable Energy turbines by the end of 2020.

Stena Renewable will soon begin construction of the 155 MW Aby-Alebo wind farm in southern Sweden, using Vestas turbines, with commissioning due for Q1 2022.

Envision Energy has commissioned two wind farms in Gujarat, India: One 197.5 MW project for Sprng Energy and the 30 MW project for Renew Power.


Infigen Energy has completed a Tesla Powerpack battery installation at the Lake Bonney Wind Farm in South Australia. The 25 MW / 52 MWh system is now undergoing testing.

EnergyNest will install thermal battery storage technology at Seftenbacher’s factory in Austria, with installation of the 6-8 MWh battery to begin in the second half of this year.

Duke Energy has announced two more projects in Florida, both 74.9 MW. The Twin Rivers and Santa Fe solar plants will be commissioned by the end of the year.

The Louisville Gas and Electric Company and the Kentucky Utilities Company have filed for approval of a PPA with ibV Energy Partners for the 100 MW Rhudes Creek Solar Plant in Hardin County, Kentucky.

Pending an environmental review, Silicon Ranch will develop a 35 MW solar plant Bedford County, Tennessee. The project is planned to be complete for Q3 2022 and will use Duck River Electric Membership Corporation’s distribution system.

Swinerton has commissioned the 200 MW Wright Solar Park in California, and Peninsula Clean Energy has signed a PPA for the project’s output.

Anesco will soon commission the 12 MW Bumpers Solar Farm in Buckinghamshire, UK, and has sold it to Gresham House.
