Tracking the total revenue of the three processor giants (AMD, Intel, and Nvidia), Nvidia’s riotous growth is plain to see – growing from around 21.41% the size of Intel in 2020 to over 145% larger in 2024. AMD grew from 12.54% of Intel’s total revenue in 2020 to 48.56% in 2030, illustrating just how hard Intel has slipped in this market. But the main story here is just how central Nvidia’s GPUs have proven to sustaining the current wave of AI hype. There are some early signs that this enthusiasm is slowing down –not yet coming…
