At its Galaxy unpacked event, Samsung unveiled its new S25 range of smartphones – the Galaxy S25 Ultra, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25. Google’s Gemini AI system is a fundamental piece of the new offering, and represents something of a quiet capitulation from the Bixby assistant era. Samsung also teased its upcoming Android XR headset, based on its Project Moohan VR unit, which is explored in a separate article, as well as a slim Galaxy S25 Edge. Sticking with the phones, they are all powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy SoC, with no mention of Samsung’s Exynos SoC in the launch materials.
