Semtech launches LoRa Edge, does a Sigfox, targets asset tracking

We have said multiple times that we are close to classifying Sigfox as an asset tracking technology, given the focus that the company has put on that application. Now, Semtech has taken a similar step, launching LoRa Edge as a new hardware and cloud service joint-offering, targeted squarely at asset tracking – and not long after unveiling LoRa in 2.4 GHz, citing its use in logistics.
