Canadian IoT software platform provider SensorUp has launched what it claims to be the very first platform built on the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) SensorThings API – for bringing geographic data to internet platforms and devices. The non-profit OGC standards organization essentially develops ways of placing objects in the physical world on the internet, and its standards span market fields such as environment, defense, health, agriculture, meteorology, and sustainable development.
