In China Mobile’s results, mobile data usage was flat this year. The largest global operator reported that it did not see any growth in this segment, with an average usage of 15.9 GB per month. At the same time, it reported a 9% reduction in capex, with plans to reduce it by another 8% in 2025 – as it adds 340,000 new 5G base stations this year, and builds on its 552 million 5G subscribers.
