In a country with a highly developed 5G network, SK Telecom is seeking to be a leader in 6G standardization and has been researching 6G network structure with academic institutions in Korea. SKT brought its 6G research to the fore in Barcelona this year. The latest 6G research with Kyungpook National University looked at the degradation of connectivity as frequency bands increased in non-line-of-sight (NLOS) environments. The frequencies used for measurements and simulations were those agreed as candidates for 6G spectrum at the World Radiocommunication Conference in November 2023, they are: 4.4-4.8 (Partial) GHz, 7.125-8.4 (Partial) GHz, and 14.8-15.35 GHz.
