The virtual SolarPower Summit, held this week by trade body SolarPower Europe, has raised the idea of Europe reaching 20 GW of solar manufacturing capacity by sometime in the middle of the decade. The idea of 20 GW or 25 GW manufacturing capacity within Europe has been mooted on and off by various parties over the last year. There have already been proposals which would meet that within five years – but only some are set in stone.
