SpaceX has been stirring the pot by petitioning the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to loosen power limits on transmissions from low-earth orbit (LEO) satellites. Although there is an argument that decades old rules need updating – powerful corporations should not be able to bypass the global spectrum standard organization, the World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC), for their own commercial gain.
