Despite the FCC still not having its auction authority reinstated, the regulator is gearing up to sell up to 600 MHz of spectrum in the US. However, it is unclear where this spectrum will be sourced from, as the industry consensus is that all the prime 5G spectrum is already accounted for. The ‘One Big Beautiful Bill’ (to use its official name) squeaked past its first vote in the House of Representatives. It must still pass the Senate, in order for Congress to approve this budget.
