After a turbulent fortnight of tariff-related anxiety, the results are in. The Vendors segment has outperformed the wider stock market, growing 0.89% as the Indexes fell by 0.36%. The Operators segment, meanwhile, fell by 0.58% – a concern, for a segment that typically proves more resilient than the Indexes. There were 14 gains in the Vendors segment this week, and 16 losses. CommScope was the best performer, with an outstanding 91.17% gain, on the back of the news that Amphenol (up 6.73%) was buying its CCS division – wiping out CommScope’s debt, with CommScope announcing that it would soon begin issuing dividends.
