Constellation Technologies and Operations (CTO) has signed an MoU with French telecom infrastructure provider TDF, to integrate Very Low Earth Orbit (VLEO) satellites into terrestrial broadband networks. This is all very pre-launch, as all the images are still CG renderings, but this is a deal that the French state will take interest in – as a means to avoid relying on SpaceX’s Starlink. CTO is developing its own satellite platform, which will provide neutral host capabilities to operators and infrastructure providers like TDF. The idea is that these satellites will provide connectivity, while orbiting at around 375 kilometers above sea level.
