The China Photovoltaic Industry Association (CPIA) predicts that between 531 GW and 583 GW will be installed in 2025 worldwide, up 10% “under optimistic conditions”. We view the CPIA as moderately conservative in its predictions, so 531 GW to 583 GW can be considered a reliable, central estimate. This is all according to a speech and presentation delivered by CPIA honorary chairman Wang Bohua at the Photovoltaic Industry Development Review in 2024 and Situation Outlook in 2025 Seminar, held February 27th.
