The Californian wildfires have destroyed most of Vistra Energy’s 300 MW ‘Moss 300’ facility, and an investigation has begun. Even in the context of widespread devastation in the area, this is still the biggest battery fire seen yet and will likely have some kind of regulatory consequences in future.
