Sameer Vuyyuru, head of worldwide business development for operators at AWS, predicts that trans-continental private 5G networks will emerge in 2023, serving corporations that want connectivity and ruggedized infrastructure for remote locations in many countries. Vuyyuru said energy companies are an important part of AWS’s private networks customer base, as well as US state and local governments, educational institutions, and the US Department of Defense.
