Building on last week’s examination of recent satellite investments, and a mention of the potential calamitous Kessler effect (or syndrome), an announcement from start-up Univity caught our eye. Here, the artist formerly known as Constellation Technologies & Operations (CTO), has signed the Zero Debris Charter. This charter, an unfortunately non-binding agreement, has been promoted by the European Space Agency (ESA), and has now been signed by over 180 organizations and 20 countries. Univity is now the latest signee. The charter was first proposed in 2022, and officially announced at the Paris Air Show in 2023.
