If the US wanted to have its collective mind concentrated on hydrogen, energy secretary Jennifer Granholm has come out and said she will fund projects into bringing the price of hydrogen down to $1 per kilogram, a fall in pricing of 80%, by 2030. This is possibly a little bit of naivete on her part, as we are already following innovations happening around the rest of the world which are likely to make that happen in the first half of that decade, five years sooner.
