Vodafone’s half-year results marked an “important turning point”, said CEO Vittorio Colao, with a return to organic growth in service revenue and pre-tax income. He took the opportunity of the call to discuss the results to dismiss the idea that Vodafone might break in two, hiving off its higher growth activities in emerging markets; and to launch another attack on BT’s proposed acquisition of the UK’s largest mobile operator, EE.
