Vodafone IoT, the wing that was divested back in 2024, has brokered a deal with IoT satellite firm Skylo to provide non-terrestrial network (NTN) services to Vodafone IoT’s enterprise customers. This proved to be a good jumping off point to examine the current state of the satellite market, which is still racking up new launches. Skylo is something of an aggregator, brokering capacity from satellite constellations such as EchoStar, Inmarsat (now owned by Viasat), Terrestar, and previously Ligado.
