WiFi 8 and 6G are due to arrive on the scene at approximately the same time. Given that we are barely into the WiFi 7 era, which arrived very quickly after WiFi 6 and the 6E extension, this has become something of a problem for operators making big decisions on CPE. For consumers that are already being served well by WiFi 5 and WiFi 6, is there any real point to pursuing WiFi 7 in the short-term, or should operators stay put and wait for the generational change enabled by WiFi 8?
