M&A Airspan is acquiring Jabil’s Open RAN assets, for an undisclosed price, in addition to striking a deal to acquire Corning’s distributed antenna system (DAS) assets. It plans to combine both into its neutral host, small cell, and private networks portfolio – which recently won a deal via Boldyn Networks’ contract with Deutsche Bahn. Crown Castle is selling its fiber portfolio to Zayo for $4.25 billion, and its small cell assets to EQT, also for $4.25 billion, leaving Crown Castle as a pure play tower company.
