M&A AT&T is reportedly (via Bloomberg) in talks to purchase Lumen Technologies’ consumer fiber business, for some $5.5 billion. Lumen has deprioritized these assets, and appears all in on AI and enterprise networking. Shareholders in both XL Axiata and Smartfren have signed off on the merger of the two Indonesian operations. The new company will be called XLSmart, with each party holding an equal 34.8% share. An ‘enterprise value’ of $6.4 billion has been assigned to the merger.
