M&A & Investments Open Cosmos has acquired Connected, a Portuguese satellite connectivity startup, which will become the dedicated connectivity wing for Open Cosmos – a UK-based cloud-based satellite imagery platform, often used for agricultural yield assessment, navigation, and surveying functions. No price has been given. Telefonica is buying control of FiBrasil, a joint venture between itself and Canadian pension firm La Caisse (formerly CDPQ). The two founded the wholesale provider in 2021, and its fiber footprint passes 4.4 million premises in Brazil.
