Hong Kong’s PCCW has been one of the consistently innovative video companies around the world, having built one of the first IPTV services around 15 years ago. More recently it has converted its Now TV service into a TV Everywhere Now Player App that uses Adaptive Bit Rate, and this week it has tweaked its paid Viu service which is a regional variation that it sells in partnership with mobile players across the region – in this case Singapore. The announcement is merely that Viu in Singapore has access to more premium Korean content, specifically popular local dramas from SBS, KBS, MBC and CH E&M in Korea – all exclsuive, as well as other premium Asian content from the region.…
