Back in 2009, retailer Peltz Shoes made the decision to label its entire product selection with RFID tags in order to increase the efficiency of its warehouse an in-store operations. On paper, it sounded like a sensible decision, but Peltz has announced it is abandoning its RFID tryst, saying that RFID has caused more work than it saved.
