Qualcomm’s transition away from its core market of smartphone processors and chipsets has continued at CES, with wearables, VR/AR, and automotive featuring prominently in its releases. Of course, the new flagship Snapdragon 835 SoC is attracting most of the press coverage, but much like Intel, Qualcomm is another silicon giant that is looking to hedge its bets using the IoT.
