Echelon Corporation has signed a deal with IBM to add Big Blue’s Watson IoT intelligence to its street lighting portfolio, in a move to provide its customers with an adaptive system that can draw on Watson’s cognitive computer intelligence. Echelon is working Watson into its next-gen offerings, to tempt cities looking to add IoT applications to their street lighting platforms.
