Walmart has signed a 5-year cloud service deal with Microsoft Azure, in a move that sees the pair both attempt to strike blows against their common mortal enemy – Amazon and its AWS division. The US retailer, which has a sizeable global reach too, is hoping to use the full-range of Azure, which will include its AI and machine-learning features, and potentially the new IoT Suite too.
