The rise in use of mobile networks in remote video broadcast production has been accelerated by roll out of 5G networks, and also by the Covid-19 pandemic with its enforcement of social distancing measures in many countries. The advent of 5G Standalone (SA) will give a further fillip by enabling the low latency transmission required for contribution of the highest quality content from the field and also interactive aspects such as instant replay of incidents during sporting events.
