US Cellular, the fourth MNO in the US market, is rolling out fixed wireless access spanning almost half of the 48 contiguous states. It is not joining the push to introduce new vendors to its RAN supply chain, having struck equipment deals with both Ericsson and Nokia to extend its services to C-band spectrum around 3.45 GHz, although these will not be ready for deployment until the end of 2023. Samsung has won contracts with both AT&T and Verizon, which were initially driven by its expertise in FWA and millimeter wave, though they have now expanded to mobile and C-band.
