Elon Musk’s SpaceX has been lobbying US regulators not to approve an expansion of the frequencies used for 5G into the 12 GHz band, on the grounds this would interfere with its Starlink satellite-based Internet service. The dispute centers on whether Dish and other operators should be allowed to use 12 GHz spectrum for 5G.
